Jordan Frost: Football means a lot to me, it’s a game that I have been playing since I was 5 years old. The passion and upmost respect I have for the game is through the roof. It is not so much of what it means to me but the things that it has allowed me and my family to experience, is why football means so much to me. My family has had the opportunity to see things and go places they would have never saw through me loving this game so much. Football may be just a “game” to others, but for me football is sacrifice. It is apart of my life and I had to make a lot of sacrifices.
Joe Gaiter: Tell me about your college career?
Jordan Frost: Coming out of high school, I went to Mississippi College where I played defensive back and started all 11 games as a true freshman. After my spring semester I left Mississippi College and went to a junior college where I sat out a season and played that following year, earning myself a starting spot at LA Valley College where we won our first bowl ring. I later earn myself a scholarship to a different school, but I turned them down and chose to go play at Cincinnati Christian University in Ohio which was a first year program. It was an opportunity to leave my legacy and be apart of something big. I played there under the head coach David Fulcher former player of the Cincinnati Bengals. I had a great experience there and learned a lot from those coaches, and I’m very appreciative, grateful, and blessed for the opportunities they have gave me. I was also invited to the D2 vs. NAIA senior bowl game down in myrtle beach. It was a great experience.
Joe Gaiter: Is there anything you would have done differently?
Jordan Frost: Honestly , no I wouldn’t change anything about my journey. I met some great people such as coaches and teammates and I got to see a side of the world that I wouldn’t have saw if I wouldn’t have taken the route I took.
Joe Gaiter: What would you say separates you from other athletes?
Jordan Frost: What separates me from most athletes is my knowledge of the game and my work ethic. Doing whatever it takes to better myself as an athlete and individual. Not being afraid as a rookie and going into someones camp with a leader attitude to push every one around me to be great as well.
Joe Gaiter:Tell me about Frost Performance Academy INC?
Jordan Frost:Frost Performance came about after the NFL DRAFT OF 2017, I needed a plan B. I love working out and training younger athletes, so I started my own business. I wanted to give back to the youth to those who don’t have it and it not able to afford certain things. I wanted to give them something that I wish I would have known about, or my family have known about when I was a young athlete. After starting FPA I later became apart of the New Orleans Spartan Football Club as their Strength and Condition Coach. The start of my business has open a lot of doors for me and built a lot of relationships with the kids, parents, and coaches, and I’m very excited about what is in store for it in the next 5 years.
Joe Gaiter:What does your company specialize in?
Jordan Frost: My company specializes in speed, agility, and strength but not only the physical part of being an athlete. We also focus on the mental part as well as being a leader, never giving up, and doing whatever it takes to help yourself become a better athlete but also the people around you as well. I was always told iron sharpens iron and we have the little things we do because we believe in being a student first, the classroom matters. All kids who have a 3.5 or higher trains free for that semester and are given something to strive for other than sports. They are next in line… SET OUR YOUTH UP FOR SUCESSS!!!
Joe Gaiter:Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Jordan Frost: In the next 5 years I see my business becoming more established as well as working towards opening a facility in Houston. I also see myself being signed to a professional team whether it is the NFL, CFL, or over seas.
Joe Gaiter:What do you want your legacy to be?
Jordan Frost: I want to be remembered as a dedicated worker and a great individual who never had to be told what to do, because he was already on top of it. Also, I want people to remember me for my accomplishments and goals I achieved and the lives I have impacted.
Joe Gaiter:What motivates you to keep pushing for your goals?
Jordan Frost: Number 1 is the man up above who motivates me to keep going and trusting him and his plan. My son Jayce Frost keeps me going as well, because he watches everything I do on the field, off the field, and even coaching he is locked in. What also motivates me are the kids I train. I love to see the excitement on their face when they come to me to get better. It brings joy to my world to keep giving those kids my all, because they speak my dream into existence and they keep me believing in my process with my Goals and dreams.
Joe Gaiter:Final Words?
Jordan Frost: Stay true to yourself, and never be afraid to step outside of the norm!
