Joe Gaiter:How did your season go this year?
Dorian Cowart: My season went pretty good. I didn’t put up the numbers I wanted but I manage to make All RMAC honorable mention list
Joe Gaiter:What does football mean to you?
Dorian Cowart: Football means a great deal to me. I loved this game and had aspirations to play in the NFL since I was big enough to hold a football. This sport gave me opportunities to get a college education, play the game I love and meet many people that have became a big part of my life.
Joe Gaiter:What is your motivation on the field?
Dorian Cowart: My motivation comes from my family. De didn’t live in this best area and football was my way to get an opportunity to gave back to for the sacrifices they made for me, also to prove those who doubted me. I wanted to prove that even though I played I at a small school I can compete with the best of them.
Joe Gaiter:What makes you NFL ready?
Dorian Cowart:The NFL has the most elite and talented players in the world and I believe not many rookies are NFL ready until they have have been through camp. The best thing I can do for myself is being in the best shape and best athlete I can be going into that .
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you pick them?
Dorian Cowart: I don’t have an agent. Right now I’m currently between a few agencies where I’m trying to figure out which one is best fit for me.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have any regrets ?
Dorian Cowart:I don’t have any regrets because the ups and downs I faced made me into a man I am today and a man my family and friends are very proud of.
Joe Gaiter: What are 3 words that describe you?
Dorian Cowart: Playmaker, versatile, electric.
Joe Gaiter: If you could go back to your freshman year, what would you tell yourself?
Dorian Cowart:I would tell myself there would be hard times coming in the future and to always keep pushing and keep my eyes on the main goal, to remain humble and to always pray and keep faith in God and my ability.
Joe Gaiter: How coachable are you?
Dorian Cowart:I’m very coachable. I can take critique on things I should do different and I would apply them from on the football field and off the football field .
Joe Gaiter: What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Dorian Cowart:My biggest accomplishment for me was making the RMAC honorable mention list it was a blessing to be recognized even though the season didn’t go the way I wanted.
Joe Gaiter: What is your backup plan if you don’t get drafted this year?
Dorian Cowart: I’m currently on pace to graduated from South Dakota Mines with a Bachelor degree in Industrial engineering , but if the NFL does go as planned I’ll try the CFL and AFL.
Joe Gaiter: What is the greatest lesson you have learned?
Dorian Cowart:The greatest lesson I learned remain humble , because in today’s game there’s are a lot of temptations that can hurt you if you use them incorrectly. And remaining humble and never forgetting where you came from and you main goal or your “why” can me keep my head on straight .
Joe Gaiter: When is your Proday?
Dorian Cowart:I currently don’t have a Proday yet I’m still currently in the process of figuring out which direction to go with this.
Joe Gaiter: Where are you training?
Dorian Cowart:I’m currently training at Scott Benson Sports Training In Rapid City, SD.
