Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Jessie Bryant : Football is more than a game, it’s a way of life. It means a lot to me because its been with me since I started playing pee wee league.
Joe Gaiter: Tell me about your season this year?
Jessie Bryant : I would describe this year’s season for me as a major blessing. It allowed me to finish my college career as a Mississippi Valley State Delta Devil.
Joe Gaiter: How hungry are you to make the NFL?
Jessie Bryant : I would say I would be grateful for an opportunity in the NFL, whatever I’m in God’s plan for me.
Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about playing college ball?
Jessie Bryant : Most of all I would miss putting on that MVSU jersey and representing that red, green, and white on Saturdays!
Joe Gaiter: What would you tell yourself if you could go back to your freshman year?
Jessie Bryant : I wouldn’t tell myself anything if I could go back because I’m a firm believer that God puts you in situations for a reason. Everything happens according to his plans for you.
Joe Gaiter: Why should someone pick you over someone that plays your same position?
Jessie Bryant : My mindset separates me from everyone else. I’m a real student of the game. Small things really matter to me.
Joe Gaiter: Have you reached your athletic peak?
Jessie Bryant : No I wouldn’t say I reached my peak, I’m just beginning.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation on the field?
Jessie Bryant : My motivation is coming out of high school I had no offers. Many schools passed on me because they felt that there were better athletes that they could bring in, and Mississippi Valley State University gave the opportunity to play college ball as well as receive a college education. That’s why I feel that I owe this program every little thing inside of me.
Joe Gaiter: What is your Plan B if you dont get drafted?
Jessie Bryant : I will be attending Graduate school in pursuit of my Masters in Sports Administration.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you chose them?
Jessie Bryant : I don’t have an agent. I leave everything up to God and it’ll all fall in line. He’ll make a way for me.
Joe Gaiter: Where and how often are you training?
Jessie Bryant : I train at MVSU everyday with my coaches Terrence Barron and Kendrick Wade.
Joe Gaiter: When is your proday?
Jessie Bryant : March 26th
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Jessie Bryant : I want my legacy to be viewed as an inspiration to allow someone else to feel as if they can excel and exceed beyond the doubters.
Joe Gaiter: Final Words?
Jessie Bryant : Major shoutout to God. I really thank him for everything his done to and for me. Every since I was in 10th grade of high school I would get my wrist taped. And I would write under my wrist “Isaiah 54:17”. That’s what I live by. “No Weapon formed against me shall prosper..”
