Zedekiah Brown: Football is an addition and passion I have and a getaway, no matter what going on I feel like playing football gets my mind away from it.
Joe Gaiter: Tell me about your season this year?
Zedekiah Brown: Very disappointed in the previous season, we had an up & down season. Only making it to the 2nd round of playoffs, really wanted to go out on top with another conference ring & winning my first National championship. However, everything happens for a reason and I know it’ll fuel me in the future.
Joe Gaiter: How hungry are you to make the NFL?
Zedekiah Brown: Words can’t define how bad I want to make it. It’s something almost every kid dreams about and I feel it’s in reach and just need my chance to prove I can play against the best.
Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about playing college ball?
Zedekiah Brown: I’ll miss the adversity and moments I shared with my teammates and coaches over the last four years. Without them and the challenges we faced I wouldn’t be the man I am today.
Joe Gaiter: What would you tell yourself if you could go back to your freshman year?
Zedekiah Brown: If I could go back and tell myself anything freshman year would be to start training now and take care my body better. Coming into college I didn’t know much about the position I would be playing. After training at U48 for a summer going into my senior year, I picked up pointers from my trainer and professional athletes that help with me with my techniques and how to properly care for your body.
Joe Gaiter: Why should someone pick you over someone that plays your same position?
Zedekiah Brown: You’re getting a self-motivated, unselfish, physical, and dedicated player looking to come into a franchise to do whatever it takes to help and make the team better. I desire to get better every single day, whether it’s on or off the field. I pride myself at doing my job, and being the best at it. My only objective every week is finding a way to win. Also, I can adapt to changes during the game and never let the moment get to big.
Joe Gaiter: Have you reached your athletic peak?
Zedekiah Brown: Of course not. There is always room for improvement, but I work every day to be the best at what I do
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation on the field?
Zedekiah Brown: Winning. I’m very competitive and the main goal is always to win the game.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have a backup if you don’t get drafted?
Zedekiah Brown: Yes, my backup plan if I’m not draft or signed will be to continue training, because you never know when you’ll get that call for a try out and finish my degree in Management of Information Systems.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you chose them?
Zedekiah Brown: Tanner Simkins. Tanner was the only agent that I reached out to that wanted to represent me. Very appreciative of him and everything he’s done for me so far.
Joe Gaiter: Where and how often are you training?
Zedekiah Brown: U48 in Lawrenceville, Ga. We train Monday- Friday and sometimes Saturdays.
Joe Gaiter: Tell me about your proday?
Zedekiah Brown: Proday went ok overall, believed I put up good numbers in certain areas. However, I was very unsatisfied with my 40 time on pro day. Been running faster times while training, so it was very disappointing seeing the times a ran on pro day.
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Zedekiah Brown: An unselfish & dedicates player that laid it all on the line every game he played and helped his team to Conference and Super Bowl wins.
Joe Gaiter: Final Words/Shoutouts?
