Joe Gaiter: What has been your football story?
Aaron Spikes: It has been a consistent grind over the years of maintaining my composure. I’m a former D1 athlete who played for Louisiana Lafayette 2010-2012. However, I lead the team in total Yards and Touchdowns as a freshmen 1000 9tds. I was on the Sunbelt all freshmen team that year. Unfortunately, things happen and transferred to Belhaven University NAIA. There were some injuries that kept me from, but I had that determination to always compete in never settle. In my final year at Belhaven I had 1100 yards in 5 tds all purpose of course. I was labeled one of the top all-purpose backs in the NAIA.
Joe Gaiter: What is your role on any team you play on?
Aaron Spikes: I’m a born leader.
Joe Gaiter: What is something you want people to know about you?
You can’t teach effort, it’s either you have it or you don’t. I’ve been blessed with a particular set of skills that elevates the player I am today.
