Donald Johnson IV: Football is more than just a game to me, it’s a way of life. When I’m on the field, I feel at my freest. I can open up and be who I really am.
Joe Gaiter: What are your fondest memories of University Christian?
Donald Johnson IV: My favorite memory from being at UC has to be my Senior year Homecoming game. Being able to guard the best WR in the city. Also to catch the game winning int. In the game we called “The Mud Bowl”
Joe Gaiter: What is your style like on the field?
Donald Johnson IV: Donald Johnson IV is a confident roaming Safety who loves deceiving Quarterbacks and giving Offensive Coordinators a headache.
Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about playing at Betune-Cookman College?
Donald Johnson IV: I’ll miss the amazing fan base and most of all playing in front of the BEST BAND IN THE LAND.
Joe Gaiter: What was your contribution to your team this year?
Donald Johnson IV: I have been an outspoken leader and proven playmaker when needed.
Joe Gaiter: What makes you such a dynamic Defensive back?
Donald Johnson IV: I am a natural student of the game, spending hrs in the film room each week studying for the next opponent. Knowing Quarterbacks tendencies, and Offensive route concepts.
Joe Gaiter:What are your strengths on the field?
Donald Johnson IV: Zone coverages and amazing ball tracking.
Joe Gaiter:How have you faced adversity this year ion your team?
Donald Johnson IV: Being in the #1 Secondary in the conference playing with guys like Ty Peters, Trevor Merritt, Taz Walker, Bam Legerre etc. you have to be ready to play when your number is called.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation?
Donald Johnson IV: My little brother Jeremiah, I have to show him that you don’t have to be a Power 5 athlete to make and play football at the next level. It’s all about your work ethic.
Joe Gaiter: How would you grade your proday performance?
Donald Johnson IV: B+

Donald Johnson IV: In Jacksonville, Fl. With A1 Performance Sports Group.
Joe Gaiter: What is on your vision board for your life?
Donald Johnson IV: Becoming a valuable asset to the school system by becoming a influential African American Male instructor.
Joe Gaiter: What is your message to any NFL teams that are looking at you.
Donald Johnson IV: Look at all the play making products that come from HBCU football. Take a Chance in a small D1 college defensive back like me and you won’t regret it. I love the film room, love to be early rather than on time, and I’m Coachable.
Joe Gaiter: What advice do you have for 2021 NFL Draft Class?
Donald Johnson IV: Don’t let anyone stop you from trying to achieve your goal. If you can play, they’ll find you.
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Donald Johnson IV: Donald Johnson IV was an amazing athlete on the field but a ever better Man off the field. He was respectable, God fearing, and intelligent man. He loved fans and the people in the community.
