Samuel Huntley: Football means everything to me, without it i know I wouldn’t be in the position I am today. I am more than grateful God blesses me with the gift to play this sport.
Joe Gaiter: How did Hallandale HS help you grow as an athlete?
Samuel Huntley: Hallandale High School helped me grow as a athlete because I played with the best of the best and against so it elevated my game tremendously the south Florida way.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your recruitment experience after high school?
Samuel Huntley: My recruitment process was a blessing, I had few offers coming out of high school due to only playing my senior year of high school. Off field trouble that’s caused my D1 offer to get took away that made me end up at Waldorf University.
Joe Gaiter: What made you choose Waldorf University as your school of choice?
Samuel Huntley: Loss in offers and getting in trouble off the field landed me at Waldorf University because Waldorf gave me a great offer and the only school that gave me a chance.
Joe Gaiter: What were your stats this year?
Samuel Huntley: I had no stats due to season ending injury breaking my collarbone but the year before I had 52 receptions, 709 yards , 10 Tds.
Joe Gaiter: What makes you such a dynamic wide receiver?
Samuel Huntley:The features that makes me a dynamic WR is being able to be a explosive route runner, getting YAC and football smarts.
Joe Gaiter: Your speed is unmatched. How do you train to stay so athletically fit?
Samuel Huntley: My speed is unmatched because I train harder than everyone I compete against. I train with the best of best like Antonio Brown. I train three times a day weights, field work and core work that makes me explosive and powerful. Also works on my craft daily to improve my game.
Joe Gaiter: What should any NFL/CFL team know about you?
Samuel Huntley: What any team should know about me is I’m a high competitor, leader, team player, hard worker and a playmaker.
Joe Gaiter: Have you reached your athletic peak?
Samuel Huntley: I haven’t reached my peak yet because I think I have a higher peak. I just have to keep working for it so I can be the best.
Joe Gaiter: What has been your biggest accomplishment as an athlete?
Samuel Huntley: My biggest accomplishments is being back to back All Conference WR and have 2 workouts for Minnesota Vikings And Chicago Bears.
Joe Gaiter: How have you faced adversity on the and off the field?
Samuel Huntley: School has to be the biggest off field adversity and on field would be me breaking my collarbone and the process it took to get it back 100%.
Joe Gaiter: How was your proday and what were some of your numbers?
Samuel Huntley: JR. Proday was a success ran a 4.4 and 4.5 in the 40 yard dash. Vert 38, broad jump 10’7, agility 1.39.
Joe Gaiter: What is your untold story?
Samuel Huntley: I use to go down the wrong road coming up rolling with the wrong crowds doing things I’m not supposed to do which landed me behind bars. God brought me out that situation and got me to this point in life. A complete turn around.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have any regrets?
Samuel Huntley: No regrets because everything that happened in my life happened for a reason to make me who I am today.
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be as an athlete?
Samuel Huntley: I want to be known for how I was as a great hard working player I that inspired people that it’s possible for anyone to make it and be great doing so. Believe in yourself and don’t let anyone say you something you’re not.

Samuel Huntley: Shoutout to my Family, friends, Waldorf University and everyone that’s apart of my success. Shoutout to my baby girl Harmony.
Joe Gaiter: As you prepare to be a father, has your view on life changed?
Samuel Huntley: As I a prepare to be a father it has been nothing but a blessing. I have a baby girl that I will do anything for. She’s just coming along this great journey with me. I’m happy she’s apart of it.
