Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Antonio Jones: Football is my way of escaping the struggles of every day. It’s my way of keeping myself together from other emotions and problems.
Joe Gaiter: Where did you grow up and how was your child hood?
Antonio Jones: I’m originally from Chicago Illinois (south side) but I grew up in College Park. My childhood was pretty dope had a house full of siblings. Three brothers and three sisters so it was always something happening and never was a dull moment.
Joe Gaiter: What motivated you to start playing football?
Antonio Jones: My mom pushed me to try a new sport after my basketball season ended in 7th Grade.
Joe Gaiter: What are some of your stats from this year?
Antonio Jones: On defensive, I had 25 tackles, 2 INTS, 1 INT TD and 7 PBU.
On offensive, over 600 yards on special teams, 29 catches for 592 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Joe Gaiter: What are some of your fondest memories about playing at Lovejoy?
Antonio Jones: Practicing with my brothers and creating a bond accomplishing goals that we set in the summer. We were the underdogs coming into this 6A division being underestimated and disrespected. But we made them put some respect on our name.
Joe Gaiter: Was it hard playing wide receiver, corner back and kicker?
Antonio Jones: No, It wasn’t hard. It definitely kept me busy and focused. It’s all mental.
Joe Gaiter: What are some of your accomplishments?

Antonio Jones: To my fans Keep God first and the rest will fall in line. To my new teammates, let’s play our hearts out and win as much games as possible.
Joe Gaiter: Where are you training during the offseason?
Antonio Jones: Training/Conditioning at Lovejoy Highschool and Anytime Fitness.
Joe Gaiter: What has been your motivation on the field?
Antonio Jones: Seeing my family give their full support and knowing they are always going to be there for me.
Joe Gaiter: What is your life like for you off the field?
Antonio Jones: My life pretty regular. I’m just like every other kid. Ii go to school, have chores, get yelled at and everything.
Joe Gaiter: What are your strengths and areas you need to improve on?
Antonio Jones: I feel like my strength is being able to remain humble and keeping God first and weakness is time management.
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Antonio Jones: I just want to be remembered as the kid that never gave up and gave his all on and off the field.

Joe Gaiter: What is your advice to Lovejoy for next season?
Antonio Jones: Do your job to the fullest. You never know if this can be your last time playing football and listen to your coach. I promise you they are not telling you nothing wrong
Joe Gaiter: 4 years from now, where do you see yourself?
Antonio Jones: 4 years from now I hopefully will find myself wealthy as a senior in college getting ready to play professional ball.
Joe Gaiter: If you could go back in time, what would you tell 9th grade Antonio Jones?
Antonio Jones: Focus more on my grades. I didn’t really know that was my most important year .
