Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Herbert Moore: I started playing football at the age of 3, so football is pretty much my life.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation for playing the game?
Herbert Moore: My motivation is my family and where I come from. I’m Memphis,TN very few making it out.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your season this year?
Herbert Moore: We have had an up and down season as a team by going 6-6. Me personally I had great season made some big plays to help my team.
Joe Gaiter: What makes you ready for the NFL?
Herbert Moore: I think what makes me NFL ready my excitement to be coached to do the right things. The love for the game is as strong as ever. And I’m good with my hands and have good gap integrity.
Joe Gaiter: Who would you compare your football skill to that currently plays in the NFL?
Herbert Moore: I would compare myself to a Damon Harrison(NT Giants). Because he holds the point of attack well and is athletic enough to make plays that you wouldn’t expect a NT to make.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent?
Herbert Moore: Do not have one yet.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have any regrets over your college career?
Herbert Moore: No not at all.
Joe Gaiter: Describe yourself in 3 words.
Herbert Moore: Hungry. Dependable, Humble.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about the bond you have with your teammates?
Herbert Moore: The bond I had with my teammates was like no other. I’m getting married in April and the whole DL is invited.
Joe Gaiter: If you could go back to your freshman year, what would you do differently?
Herbert Moore: Come as a freshman more in shape. I came into college at 365. I’m 320 now.
Joe Gaiter: What separates you from other athletes that play your same position? I’m the fastest but I’m 6’1 and I can get under a lot of OL and I have great gal discipline.
Joe Gaiter: What has your biggest accomplishment?
Herbert Moore: Graduating from college.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have a backup plan if you don’t make it to the NFL?
Herbert Moore: Yea have plenty of jobs set up in case the NFL does not work out.
Joe Gaiter: When is your proday/combine?
Herbert Moore: I don’t know exactly but it’s in late March.
Joe Gaiter: Where and how often are you training?
Herbert Moore: I’m training at my school (Olemiss) and I am doing something everyday.
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Herbert Moore: I wanted be remembered as the underdog that no one gave a chance to and he beat the odds regardless what everyone threw at him.
Joe Gaiter: Final Words and Shoutouts?
Herbert Moore: I just want to thank God, my family and the people that’s in my corner to help me get to this point. I advise for every athlete to read the book “John Henry”. Because no matter what happened or what the put against him, he just kept working. Keep that underdog mentality.
