Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Kenneth Hagins: I love football. I started playing when I was eight years old, and I fell in love with it ever since. Football played an impactful role in my life. Playing football teaches a substantial amount on and off the field. It taught me about perseverance. That you must work hard for everything you want. That in order to be successful you need structure. Football teaches these things, as well as many other things, and I enjoy playing it.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation for playing the game?
Kenneth Hagins: Honestly, I am self-motivated. I just love the game. I love to compete and I want to be the best player I can be at all times.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your season this year?
Kenneth Hagins: I finished 2nd on the team & 7th in tackles in the Conference in tackles. Top 15 in sacks and top 5 in tackles for loss. I was given the honor of representing Morehouse in the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl Game in Salem, VA. I was given MVP honors at this game, as well.
Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about Morehouse?
Kenneth Hagins: I’m going to miss my teammates. You create a special bond with players on the team throughout your college career.
Joe Gaiter: What makes you ready for the NFL?
Kenneth Hagins: I’m versatile. I can play multiple positions. I know I’m undersized, but I don’t play that way. I live to compete and I never back down.
Joe Gaiter: Who would you compare your football skills to that currently play in the NFL?
Kenneth Hagins: I play like Jabrill Peppers. I’m capable of playing multiple positions and being just as effective.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you chose them?
Kenneth Hagins: Currently do not have an agent but. I will sign soon.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have any regrets over your college career?
Kenneth Hagins: I wish I had a better work ethic earlier in my college career.
Joe Gaiter: Describe yourself in 3 words.
Kenneth Hagins: Determined, Intelligent, & a Winner.
Joe Gaiter: If you could go back to your freshman year, what would you do differently?
Kenneth Hagins: Work harder on & off the field.
Joe Gaiter: What separates you from other athletes that play your same position?
Kenneth Hagins: I can cover and I know how to tackle. I play full speed every play, as well
Joe Gaiter: Do you have a backup plan if you don’t make it to the NFL?
Kenneth Hagins: Yes. I plan to go to graduate school, and pursue a doctorate in physical therapy.
Joe Gaiter: When is your proday?
Kenneth Hagins: They haven’t set one yet.
Joe Gaiter: Where and how often are you training?
