Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Harley Vaughan: Football means everything to me. It’s been a part of my life since I was five years old, and in my opinion the best sport out there. It brings out the best in me and shows you what you are truly capable of.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation for playing the game?
Harley Vaughan:My motivation for playing the game is my family and everyone that has supported me throughout the years. They have helped me get to where I am today, and I play for them and because I love the game.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your season this year?
Harley Vaughan:This season we went 9-4 and had a good year. We made it to the second round of the playoffs, and were just a couple plays away from going even further. Looking back we didn’t meet the expectations we set for ourselves but not everything goes your way all the time.
Joe Gaiter: What makes you ready for the NFL?
Harley Vaughan:My knowledge of the game, work ethic, and drive to be the best that I can be at my craft are attributes that make me ready for the next level. Also, I can play multiple positions at O line which makes me versatile, and will allow teams to do different things with me.
Joe Gaiter: Who would you compare your football skills to that currently plays in the NFL?
Harley Vaughan:I would compare myself to Ali Marpet. He has played center and guard making him versatile, and we are both from smaller schools not big D1’s. He is also very agile for someone his size and has good technique, and I feel like we are similar in that manner.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you chose them?
Harley Vaughan:My agent is Preston James IV with JR Sports Enterprises. I picked Preston and his Agency because they were genuine and straightforward with me. I also picked them because they were easy to get along with and are good guys. They also showed that they are going to do what is in my best interest and my future going forward.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have any regrets over your college career?
Harley Vaughan:No I don’t have any regrets.

Joe Gaiter: If you could go back to your freshman year, what would you do differently?
Harley Vaughan:The thing I would do differently is watch way more film. I started watching a lot of film and studying defenses in my sophomore year, and I believe that if I would have started my freshman year it would have helped me a lot more on the field.
Joe Gaiter: What separates you from other athletes that play your same position?
Harley Vaughan:What separates me from the other athletes that play my position is my knowledge of the game and my quickness and agility. Also, my versatility and my desire to be the best I can be.
Joe Gaiter: What was your biggest accomplishment?
Harley Vaughan:I think my biggest accomplishment would be breaking the school records for most starts/consecutive starts in a career. There are several accomplishments I am proud of but having these school records is a great feeling.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have a backup plan if you don’t make it to the NFL?
Harley Vaughan:Yes, I am currently in grad school working to achieve my masters in business. If the NFL doesn’t work out then I will finish my masters and work to get a good job in my field of study.
Joe Gaiter: When is your proday/combine?
Harley Vaughan:My pro day is March 14th at the University of West Georgia.
Joe Gaiter: Where and how often are you training?
Harley Vaughan:I am Training at U48 (Ultimate 48 Fitness) with Manny Rodriguez and his crew about 5-6 days a week.
Joe Gaiter: Final Words and Shoutouts?
Harley Vaughan:I just want to thank God because without him none of this would be possible. I would also like to say thanks to my coaches and my family for supporting me, and helping me become the player and person I am today.
