Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?

Chaviss Murphy: Football means a lot to me. Football and me go hand and hand. I couldn’t imagine life without it.

Joe Gaiter:Tell us about your season this year?

Chaviss Murphy: Very disappointing year as far as wins and losses but as an individual I made a lot of gains.

Joe Gaiter What makes you ready for the NFL?

Chaviss Murphy: My knowledge of the game and ability to read coverages and strong hands.

Joe Gaiter:  What are things that you feel you can improve on as an athlete?

Chaviss Murphy: My speed for sure.

Joe Gaiter:  Describe yourself in 3 words.

Chaviss Murphy: Humble, Determined, Outgoing

Joe Gaiter:  What is your motivation for playing the game?

Chaviss Murphy: The smile it brings to others face when I succeed keep me motivated.

Joe Gaiter:  Tell us about the bond you have with your teammates?

Chaviss Murphy: I’m a vocal leader & have a bond with all my teammates I’m an only child so those are my brothers.

Joe Gaiter:  If you could go back to your freshman year, what would you do differently?

Chaviss Murphy: Sign to a different college.

Joe Gaiter:  What separates you from other athletes that play your same position?

Chaviss Murphy: My size for sure, my ability to catch in traffic, and blocking.

Joe Gaiter:  What has your biggest accomplishment?

Chaviss Murphy: Graduating college with my associates and bachelors degree.

Joe Gaiter:  Do you have a backup plan if you don’t make it to the NFL?

Chaviss Murphy: Yes, I’m planning on being an intern coach at the NFL level.

Joe Gaiter:  What are some things most people don’t know about you?

Chaviss Murphy: Most people don’t know how much I enjoy making others happy.

Joe Gaiter:  Who is your agent and why did you chose them?

Chaviss Murphy: Basically right now my agent is Steelers Artie Burns. That’s my main man. He chose me.

Joe Gaiter:  When is your proday?

Chaviss Murphy: FAMU hasn’t set a date yet .

Joe Gaiter:  Where and how often are you training?

Chaviss Murphy: Miami and I’m training 6 days a week.

Joe Gaiter:  What do you want your legacy to be?

Chaviss Murphy: I want to be remembered as one of the most dominant passionate players in the game.
