Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Damoun Patterson: Football to me is everything. Football always has been my way to get away from everything going on around me.
Joe Gaiter: Tell me about your season this year?
Damoun Patterson: My season was decent. I lead my team in receiving yards with 32 catches for 555 yards & 4 TDs. I had a goal to reach 1000 yards in 50 or less catches. Things didn’t go as plan but I definitely have more to prove I’m only getting better.
Joe Gaiter: How hungry are you to make the NFL?
Damoun Patterson: I’m very hungry to reach it to the next level. I sacrifice and been through so much to get where I am today. It’s a blessing to finally see my dreams turn to reality.
Joe Gaiter: What will you miss most about playing college ball?
Damoun Patterson: I will miss the locker room vibes and all my brothers. I went to war with thru college the most.
Joe Gaiter: What would you tell yourself if you could go back to your freshman year?
Damoun Patterson: If I could go back to my freshman year I would tell myself to stay focus & take care your body & that everything you’re working for gone fall into place.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation on the field?
Damoun Patterson: I have so much motivating me when I’m on the field. I would say knowing my son is watching me & that he wants to be just like me makes want to go harder.
Joe Gaiter: Have you reached your athletic peak?
Damoun Patterson: No I haven’t reached my athletic peak, no where near it. I feel like I have so much more in me & I’m only getting better, faster and smarter.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have a backup if you don’t get drafted?
Damoun Patterson: All else fails & the NFL or CFl don’t workout I’ll go back home & work with my brother, he started his own moving company a couple years ago. I like see how amazed people are when I pick up a whole couch or washer/dryer by myself, they usually tip good.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you chose them?
Damoun Patterson: My agent is Gus Mustakas with Goalline Football. I choose Gus because he was genuine & kept it real with me. Once the season started & it wasn’t going as planned he was the only one still contacting me seeing how I was doing.
Joe Gaiter: When is your proday?
Damoun Patterson: My proday was on the 13th of March.
