Joe Gaiter: What does football mean to you?
Xavier Williamson: Football means everything to me. Football is my escape from stress and other life problems.
Joe Gaiter: When did you begin to play football?
Xavier Williamson: I started playing football in 4th grade.
Joe Gaiter: How did playing at Heidelberg High School help your develop your talents?
Xavier Williamson: Playing football at Heidelberg High helped me develop my talents because it was commonly known as an overlooked school so I worked harder to get noticed.
Joe Gaiter: How was it playing at East Central Community College?
Xavier Williamson: Playing at East Central was great . That’s where my talents elevated and so did my speed.

Joe Gaiter: Freshman year 50 tackles, sophomore year 30 tackles. What makes you such a dynamic Defensive Back?
Xavier Williamson: Things that make me a dynamic back is: Long arms , speed , and my ability to play the ball in the air.
Joe Gaiter: How was your season this year at West Alabama?
Xavier Williamson: This year was not as good as I expected from myself.
Joe Gaiter: What is the bond like in the locker room and in your practices?
Xavier Williamson: The team bond is good. Every player is coming together and competing as a whole. Each team has their differences sometimes, but at the end of the day it’s all brotherhood and competition.
Joe Gaiter: What are some things you learned from the seniors this year?
Xavier Williamson: One thing I learned from the prior seniors is to never take a practice or game for granted cause it can be taken away in the snap of a finger.

Joe Gaiter: What can we expect from you next year?
Xavier Williamson: This year I have plenty of expectations for myself, but I’m going to keep that for the season and work for it to come true.
Joe Gaiter: Where and with who are you training with during the off season?
Xavier Williamson: I’ve been doing spring training with the team for off-season. I have a few options for later this off season for training, but I haven’t put in solid decisions yet.
Joe Gaiter: Do you feel like your talents have been over looked?
Xavier Williamson: Sometimes I do feel like my talents were over looked, but I’m grateful for all the opportunities I have. That only made me humble.
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation?
Xavier Williamson: My motivation is my mother. I’ve watched her struggle to make my life easier even when she went without. Even now, she does everything she can to help me. I’m doing this to better my situation and for the times that she struggled.
