Adereio Jones: Football was a fun way to stay out of trouble, using my talents to make a way out for myself.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your childhood.
Adereio Jones: It was a rollercoaster ride but through them ups and downs I had a overall good childhood. We use to play throw up tackle after our little league games and we even played football in the street.
Joe Gaiter: What are your fondest memories about Annapolis High School?
Adereio Jones: I remember feeling like the hero and feeling like a show off that cost a game. We were down by 1 touchdown my senior year and instead of batting the ball down, I caught the pick but got tied up with the Wide Reciever. They gave him the tough down. That hurt me because in high school I was a stat chaser. We didn’t have an overall good team but we had good players. Which gave us the I got to get mine mentality.
Joe Gaiter: Why did you choose Greenville University?
Adereio Jones: I didn’t choose Greenville. I never heard of them my friend and former high school teammate found them when we were looking for schools. I had just did 2 years in semi pro and was looking for a school to go back to and play and we found that. I got in but he didn’t.
Joe Gaiter: What makes you a great Defensive Back?
Adereio Jones: The fact I played WR first so I know how to play receivers and find the ball. Also my speed allows me to recover and stay on top of routes.
Joe Gaiter: What is your untold story?
Adereio Jones: I always had to prove myself because of my size regardless of being athletic. I had to prove that I belonged. Also I made a lot of sacrifices for the love of football.
Joe Gaiter: How was it getting play of the week and player of the week in the same week?
Adereio Jones: I felt ecstatic when I got the news. It was a blessing for what was about to unfold.
Joe Gaiter: What was your proday results?
Adereio Jones: I unfortunately couldn’t make it to my pro day because of the corona virus.
Joe Gaiter: Who is your agent and why did you choose them?
Adereio Jones: AJ Wallace is my agent currently. He watched me grow up as a kid, knows my strengths and weaknesses, and he played indoor professionally as well as collegiate football.
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your music career?
Adereio Jones: I’m currently working on my single tape since the world is on timeout. So be on the lookout for that!
Joe Gaiter: Tell us about your modeling career?
Adereio Jones: I haven’t started a modeling career yet lol, I just model my own clothing sometimes.
Joe Gaiter: How do you deal with the haters?
Adereio Jones: You don’t. I always look at it like if you don’t have haters you not doing something right. They only around when you got something going for yourself.
Joe Gaiter: What would success look like for you?
Adereio Jones: Financial freedom. I want to be wealthy to the point where I can give my dad 5 bands and still be straight.
Joe Gaiter: You have so many businesses going on now. Is it hard for you to focus on one or can you have it all?
Adereio Jones: I can have it all and I will have it all in due time!
Joe Gaiter: What do you want your legacy to be?
Adereio Jones: I want to go down as one of the biggest all around entrepreneurs, sort of like Master P. He was an athlete, rapper, and businessman too.
Joe Gaiter: Final words?
Adereio Jones: I just want to say I’m blessed for making it this far so whatever the outcome is from the draft or any other pro team I’m willing to accept it.
Joe Gaiter: Shoutouts?
Adereio Jones: I’d like to give a shoutout to the man upstairs and my fallen soldiers because they fuel my grind. Also, I’d like to give a shoutout to my Dad and my circle because their support has been beyond measures.
