Joe Gaiter: What does basketball mean to you?
Will Sides: Basketball defines me… it’s who I am!! I don’t know where William Sides would be without it!
Joe Gaiter: When did you start playing basketball?
Will Sides: I have been playing basketball since I was like around 3 years old.
Joe Gaiter: Who were your basketball favorites to watch growing up?
Will Sides: Growing up my favorite to watch was Allen Iverson Aka “The Answer”.
Joe Gaiter: Before you transferred to UWG you hit 130 three pointers in at Lewis and Clark College. What are tips in your success at the 3 point line?
Will Sides: Hmmm that’s a great question honestly. Well, I know I made a lot of tough ones because the defensive was always on me wherever I went on the court.
Joe Gaiter: Why did you transfer from Lewis and Clark College to UWG?
Will Sides: I transferred to UWG kinda late. I went through a situation because I was going to Division 1 but things didn’t go as planned.
Joe Gaiter: Define your role on the your team?
Will Sides: My role is to be a player maker. Whatever the team needs I’m accountable for it.
Joe Gaiter: Do you have a pregame ritual that you do before every game?
Will Sides: Hmmm not this year. I just go out there play with a clear mind
Joe Gaiter: What is your motivation while you are on the court?
Will Sides: My motivation is representing myself. I made this happen and I have to continue to strive for greatness.
Joe Gaiter: What can we expect of you the rest of the season?
Will Sides: A lot of success as we move forth throughout conference play.
Joe Gaiter: In what area do you feel you’ve improved the most?
Will Sides: I’ve learned more about the game at this level such as playing.
Joe Gaiter: What advice has the coach given you that you’ll always remember?
Will Sides: He’s given me a lot and I appreciate that dearly! What stood out the most is him saying “great things are going to happen for you longs you continue to sacrifice the little things”
Joe Gaiter: Final Words?
Will Sides: I’m extremely blessed and I want my story to motivate the ones that think that they can’t achieve their goals because things are hard. Just keep grinding and climbing the mountain.“The Sky is The Limit”.
